Getting the perfect shot sometimes requires a lot of waiting. So SARAH PHILLIPSON did. During a photo walk in Dallas,
Texas, last July she waited for the sun to hit this Bank of America building in just the right spot to make it glow. “It wasn’t until I started editing the shot that I realized the reflected clouds lined up 100 percent perfectly with the clouds that bordered and passed behind the building,” she says. “Nature did the rest of the work!” The image earns Phillipson Grand Prize honors in Digital Photo’s Second Annual My World Photo Contest presented by Tamron. Her winnings include $1,000 cash, a Tamron 18-270mm lens, a Tamrac 3385 Speed Pack and one Duggal 16x24 print of her photo. Canon EOS Rebel XSi, Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens |
