An exclusive broadcast of CERN's "Concert for a Collider" will be Web cast Live on Tuesday October 21st at 4:30 pm, Central European Time and may be viewed online at http://webcast.cern.ch. The concert is the entertainment centerpiece of the official inauguration ceremony for the Large Hadron Collider in Geneva, which will be Web cast in its entirety beginning at 3:00 pm CET. "Concert for a Collider" features Frans Lanting's ORIGINS, a new multimedia production with music by Philip Glass, and may only be viewed live online.

Each month, the Panasonic Digital Photo Academy (DPA) will award two new DPA students $100 for their selected image from the Student Gallery on their Web site. The winning images will be chosen by the 15th of each month, and the student will be notified and the prizes will be awarded by the 30th of each month. In order for images to be eligible, they need to be uploaded to the DPA site under the Gallery section.

HENRY FROEHLICH, 1922 ~ 2008

The photographic community, his family and friends mourn the passing of Henry Froehlich, one of the true pioneers and leaders of the photographic industry in the 20th Century. He died peacefully on January 24th at the age of 85.
