Canon EOS 7D
Top features include 8 fps continuous shooting and Full HD video
Canon EOS 7D In August, Canon unveiled their fall line of new products with New York and Los Angeles press events. Several new announcements were made, but notably absent any new DSLR products. Since then, rumor blogs and websites had been overflowing with predictions of a 7D and today those predictions came true.

It seems as though Canon wanted to separate their DSLR announcements from the rest of the compact cameras, printers and video cameras. In addition to the EOS 7D DSLR, today Canon announced three new lenses, the EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM, EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM, and EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, and a wireless file transmitter, the WFT-E5A.

After a long year of dismal economic news and relatively few noteworthy developments in camera and lens technology for photo enthusiasts, the fall and winter are heating up in a big way. We expect more announcements in the coming weeks and an exciting Holiday buying season.
