Zoom from wide-angle to tele using the Tokina AT-X 16.5-135mm DX. The compact 16.5-135mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 AF lens gives an equivalent angle of view of 25-200mm. It’s designed for D-SLRs with APS-C-sized sensors and has a minimum focusing distance of 19.7 inches. Three aspherical elements, an all-glass precision-molded element and two compound elements produce high contrast. Additionally, two super-low-dispersion glass elements correct chromatic aberration. Canon and Nikon mounts are available. Estimated Street Price: $599. Contact: THK Photo Products, (800) 421-1141, www.thkphoto.com.

Sharpen your shots using the Cullmann Magnesit 532C, a strong lightweight tripod with vibration-cushioned carbon legs for optimal stability. The legs lock quickly and securely, thanks to a newly developed leg-clamping design. You can position the camera as low as 12 inches for ground-level exposures. Height ranges from 25 to 72 inches, and it weighs 4.6 pounds. Magnesit tripods also feature adjustable steel spikes, a separable center strut and foam casing on the upper legs that protects against bumps and damage. List Price: $375. Protect your valuable equipment when the weather turns using the Kata GDC Elements Cover (KT E-705). Large enough to protect a pro SLR with up to a 70-200mm lens and flash attached, the cover allows you to keep shooting in wet conditions. The E-705 slips on quickly and is secured using adjusters and one-handed pull cords. Two side sleeves give you access to all camera and lens controls, and the transparent TPU enables easy viewing. When lenses longer than 200mm are needed, the E-705 can be connected to the E-704 Extension Kit, which covers up to 600mm lenses. Estimated Street Price: $100 (E-705); $70 (E-704).
