Description: The Audubon Rookery in Venice, FL is well known for easy access to many species of birds nesting, having chicks, etc. This was two Great egrets posturing at sunset.
Brief Directions: Take I-75 to exit 193 (Jacaranda Blvd.) and go west until you reach 41. Make a right turn onto 41 and then the first left turn after you pass the State Troopers building. Follow the road and there will be a parking area on the left. The rookery is on the right, opposite the parking area.
Best Season: Winter
