Description: The milk-weed plants start blooming in early summer with three dimensional, waxy looking flowers and a beautiful shade of pink. I caught this bee busily buzzing the first blooms. The delicate wings are just visible since they are moving so fast. All thanks to the macro lens.
Notes: The plant was growing, weed really, in the area next to the water retention pond in the backyard.
Brief Directions: The area in which I live in Franklin, just southwest of Milwaukee, WI, has wetland preservation areas and water retention ponds.
