Description: The marsh is beginning to freeze over as winter sets in. Lost of grasses and cattails, and other small details in the refuge. lots of contrast and tonal qualities in this image.

Brief Directions: 50 miles north of Salt Lake City on I-15, then 10 miles west on Forest Street. This image was made near the northwest corner of the Refuge's loop road.
Best Season: Winter
Gear: Canon 1D Mk III, 17-40 F4L, Gitzo tripod, RRS ball head.
