Description: I had returned the previous day from a SCUBA trip on the Great Barrier Reef and had a spare day before I had to fly out. I decided to take this day to walk around Cairns and do some sightseeing. As I was walking down the path that followed the coastline during the morning, I happened to look back towards the marina and noticed the spectacular light. I just happened to get lucky in capturing the plane taking off in the picture.
