National Parks Are Free Today
First of all, happy Veteran's Day!By William Sawalich Published in Blog
First of all, happy Veteran's Day! If you are a veteran, I thank you for your service. In honor of the holiday, all the U.S. National Parks are free for all today. It's the perfect excuse to skip work and spend the day photographing nature. Before you go, check out this list of tips for photographing in our National Parks courtesy of National Geographic and photographer Michael Melford. He photographed 14 National Parks for a project in the magazine few years ago, and he's got some good insights for making the most of an outing into the Parks. Then, if you'd like to learn a little more about the Parks, check in with a photographer who has shot pictures in every single one of them. I interviewed photographer QT Luong for the January 2013 issue of Outdoor Photographer, and the story is linked below.
