Capturing Painful Moments On Film
This moving collection of images has a unique twist at the end.By William Sawalich Published in Blog
This moving collection of images has a unique twist at the end. Along with revealing something about the subject, actor John Schneider, as well as the photographer, Jeremy Cowart, it also illustrates the difference between a commercial portrait session—the kind of thing photographer Cowart is regularly hired for—and a photograph that is made for a personal, and I'd say more lasting and important, purpose. You'll have to read the story to find out what makes the pictures so unique, but suffice it to say you should pay special attention to the last four images and what makes them such testaments to the subject and the photographer who collaborated to make them. Sometimes photography is just so emotionally charged in a way that nothing else can match.
