Album Covers In Photographs
Music fans, here's a fun collection of photographs that's sure to pique your interest. It includes some of the most iconic popular photographs of the last few generations. It's the photography that appears on album covers in popular music. I've always been a fan of 12" vinyl records, partly because they so often showcase big, beautiful photographs on the cover. In this case, though, these cover photographs are combined with Google Maps Street View in order to provide an up to date context for these images of everyone from Pink Floyd and Led Zepplin to The Beatles and Oasis. Perhaps the worst thing about the digital music revolution is that there's really no more need for album covers, much less iconic album cover photography. The times, they are a changing.
