Mono Lake Golden Blues

I arrived at Mono Lake a couple of hours before sunset, so I would have the opportunity to scout out the area, and choose a good spot to shoot during the sunset. Even though it was still early, I noticed that the late afternoon winter light was soft enough to cast pleasing even tones over the lake. I chose to enhance the scene further, by using a blue and gold filter. I decided to shoot this scene in a vertical orientation, to show a good amount of space between the foreground and tufa structure, in the lake.
